Charabanc outside Londesborough Hotel circa 1920
A ‘charabanc’ owned by Henry Corcoran of Tadcaster outside the Londesborough Arms. He owned this one and two others. He later bought a number of buses which were known as “Ideal Buses”. The company was based at the garage at 32 Leeds Road. This garage was later sold to Total and is the site of the current petrol station.
The party may be associated with a visit to York Races.
